Elsa Wallenberg has worked within visual communication since 2008. Elsa earned her BFA in Painting and Illustration from liberal arts college RISD (Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI). Soon after completing her degree she expanded the fine art studies to also include textile design and pattern-making, by taking courses at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City.)
Elsa has worked for five years as a print and textile designer at H&M, the ubiquitous Swedish fashion retailer. She worked within their various product areas and concepts, ranging from swimwear to Guest Designer collaborations, the Studio collection and the Conscious Exclusive Collection, always bringing her painterly and fine art sensibility to the H&M family. The work for H&M Conscious Collection (3 yearly collections) has brought Elsa closer to her interest for sustainable and recycled materials, while remaining passionate about contributing to the transition of everyday fashion to a more environmentally oriented industry.
Today, Elsa lives in Berlin, Germany, where she has opened her own surface design and consultancy studio. She continues her work as Senior print designer for H&M Conscious Exclusive collection while pursuing other creative endeavors within art and fashion.
